I didn't notice a huge difference when I cut off the magnaports. Mainly I lilked not having the muzzle blast and the clouds of dust and stuff flying off the bench when I got rid of the ports. I usually use a Past pad at the bench and mostly have been shooting standing up, so the recoil isn't much of an issue. Shooting at game, who notices recoil anyway? I don;t regret getting rid of the ports at all. My shoulder can take recoil better than my ears can take blast. I'd especially doubt that a ported barrel with a knurled cover would be factory. I think most of these guns were built before the muzzle break craze took hold. Bob
