I would opt for the 380s. You won't be shooting over 100 yards at a buffalo, and probably much closer. All the buffalo I've shot could be counted on one hand, with a finger left over. And, I have observed several more taken. My limited experience tells me that bigger is better, and velocity isn't the answer.
