Perhaps H&H try to be different from other makers so that no one confuses their product with that of another maker? This could be their way of being "different" because, otherwise, their rifle is just a very high grade Mauser bolt gun?

Overall, I think the rifle looks incredibly beautiful. The stock design is simple and minimalistic and yet far more pleasing to my eye than that of many other fine stocks that I have seen pictures of as well as in the flesh.

Somehow, the "double rifle" price of $ 40,000 seems justified in the case of whoever could afford to pay it.
