I'll add that mercury recoil arrestors can make a huge difference in felt recoil...... Jim Nixon who posts here occasionally has a .458 Lott with 2 or 3 fitted in the stock and I've seen him shoot that (off sticks) single handed...... but I've gotta say, he's far from the average shot!

..... in fact, I've never seen anyone better.
