Re: 4-bore rifle

I am planning on a single barrel, and will use a
State arms shellholder action for testing and load developement. Will rebate rim to use it, as the case has extractor groove, with the rim, being made from 20mm
brass.Making cases if you gave CNC equipment is faster than
the way I have to convert these, and will handle loads
generating 20,000 plus ft lbs.If you make cases
we hope all will follow our specs as they fit Naval
Ordnance bullets, and they were made to fit the 4bore cases that Ken Owen, in Tennessee
used in doubles he made, and the bore fits the barrels
Badger is going to make.We are trying to standardize.

I checked their demensinons and it should work.Action
is huge, as it weighs 12.5 lbs by itself. And
should handle moderate pressures, that will generate those
20,000 ft lb loads, in the diameter of the barrel you can put in it. 4 bore barrels will be over 2.5 in to start. Here is picture of our cases and Naval Ord bullets.
In pic is 20mm case we make them from and06 for
comparison.Ed.
