Due to the cost of brass and reloading I got into the habit of always taking the rifle off my shoulder and ejecting the cartridge so I could find it. Realized this did not aid fast reloading so practiced with a .22 firing off whole magazines at the shoulder. Shoot off 50 or so to break the whole habit. Sometimes need to do a "refresher" but it is also good off-hand practice. Now I find I loose at least half my .375 brass on a hunt. Not a problem with a extracting double |
