It probably says Krupp Stahl(Steel) and Shul Gremany.
The words on this rifle are Krupp Sthal, and will be on the barrel set only! The porper spelling of the city name is Suhl, Germany, and can be on the barrels, as well as on the action.
Judgeing from the chambering, and being from Suhl, Germany, this is most likely a MERKEL, or a SIMPSON. Actually they are the same rifle, just from two different times. If this is a recently made rifle, it worries me that the person selling doesn't know what it is. The rifle may be stolen! How much does he want for the rifle, and is it O/U, or S/S? If it is older, it may be a war souvenier, and he may not know. I doubt it is old, or the 375 H&H would most likely be a 375 H&H FLANGED. If it is a 375 H&H belted Magnum, then it is probably a fairly recent Merkel.
