My Mauser 404 on a standard Oberndorf Sporter M98 action opened up from the original .423 Mauser cartridge. Kynoch and Parker Hale ammo came with the rifle, the 60's era Berdan primed Kynoch with an uprated MV of 2225fps for their 400gr SP bullet and Parker Hale loaded by Norma with a 400gr Solid to 2245fps (87.0grs N204 powder).

The EER Leupold scope replaced a Single Point red dot sight I had fitted after wanting something better than the open sights I used on Buffalo.
