I have a 1907 Jeffery and have used it for a good while now. Not so much lately but there were times I used it every day. Well carried it every day, used it on some. It survived a rollover and somehow jumped out of the back of the Toyota and had to be back tracked for 3 hours once. The foldings leafs are loose and had to be taped down and the safety doesn’t like to be engaged any more. Still a hell of a gun and puts those Woodleigh solids right where you point. Anchored a lot of escaping animals with it and saved one Mexican hunter and me from a sticky ending. It’s light, being built on a standard military action and you know when you fire it. No engraving or even fancy makers name and address on the barrels, just stamped W J Jeffery on the barrel and action. I could have done the same things with a 458 or 416 but I didn’t and it will always be special to me.

Very nice mate even given its hard use.
My Mauser M03 with the .404 barrel also is not heavy but does have sharp recoil. Perhaps stock design as well?
