Jeffery spelt wrong.

The rifle pictured appears for all the world to be a Rigby Highland Stalker - which is left handed, presumably due to a flipped image, as Rigby don't list a LH variant.

OCD observations over.

Love the pics of the old workhorse, with it's sideless magazine 'box' - is that ypur rifle John?

I'm a big fam of the .404. Mine is on a CZ550, with a Lothar Walther barrel, incredibly soft shooting and accurate. It's been on the trail of a decent buffalo that got the better of us after 3 days tracking - so is yet to be suitably christened. Pig and foxes do not count ;-)

I like the idea of the 450 grain projectile.

It is good to see Rigby now offering their Big Game chambered in this cartridge.

And that classic long neck ... who says cartridges are judged on aesthetics? ;-)
