I was thinking a full power load with a 300gr. Nosler Partition or even a 300gr. Sierra or Hornady HP.
The normal 350gr. Hornady in RN or FN would also have been spectacular.
The Hornady 300gr. HP surprised me from my bro's .45 3 1/4 Sharps. We drove it to 2,200fps with 62gr. Re#7. Cloverleafs at 100 meters off the bags with tang aperture and front post.
The cobber also did that with 100gr. 2F GOEX, an inch of 1/10" cards and a 500gr. Hornady bullet = Cloverleafs - no wiping.
