Speer .375" 270gr. boat tail Spitz-SP bullet?

I am hoping someone could share their experience reloading and shooting the Speer .375" 270gr. boat tail Spitz-SP bullet.

I was concerned that the pointed tip of this Speer bullet would get deformed by recoil in the magazine of my rifle (Win. mod70) thus spoiling the accuracy of the
forth shot fired from a fully loaded rifle.

I am looking for a good (great?) general purpose bullet for thin skinned non dangerous game and target practice.

The Speer .375" 285gr. GrandSlam's look strong at the tip with their wide meplat, but I know 99.9% of all my shooting would be at a target range and I can't see wasting expensive premium bullets practising shooting paper.
I think is better to practice with the load you are going to hunt with.
How about bullets with the plastic tip?
