Only a little IMO. I wouldn't want a Rigby .416 any lighter than 10 lbs, so 10 1/2 lbs would be OK for me. My 24-inch barrel Taylor weighs 10 lbs empty, and that's about right I reckon.

The extra weight of a scope is only a problem for those who don't enjoy open sights!
