Nailed the hell out of a skunk the other day at the ranch with the Tolley.

This gun's a 3-1/2" brass 500/450 bottleneck BPE gun, the load I put through it got a 350gr SNRN out at about 1850fps.

The skunk was evidently pissing off the ranch dog (jack russel) as we were getting out of the rig. The little fooker saw us and came our way, seemingly wanting to do the same. I dropped the gunslip off the rifle and drew two rounds out of the day's supply of test ammo, chambered them and came around the side of the animal. My intent was to kill the thing quick enough to keep it from being able to spray us or anything else on it's way out.

Put the bead on it's neck and pressed the front trigger, ripped the top of it's neck off pulling it's spine out of it's brain.
Worked great.

Those 'Musky Zebra Cats' can be quite a challenge out in these parts, gotta keep one's cool in such situations to avoid disaster...
