Re: Big Bores for Smaller Game

I've used my 9.3x74R on pigs, African plains game such as warthog, maybe some others. Horses, donkeys, scrub bulls. Dingos. I forgot what else. Water buffalo.

I've used my .375 on dingos, pigs, feral cats, foxes, fallow deer, African plains game such as zebra, warthog, bushbuck, impala, and others. Donkeys, scrub bull and Cape Buffalo.

I've used my .450 DR on pigs, warthog, scrub bulls, banteng, elephant.

I'd like to use the .450 a lot more. And the .375 more. Especially try some lighter bullets, the 235 gr etc. Only ever use 300 grs on game. Used other weights in targets.

The .404 needs to be used with some light bullets. I have 257 gr bullets for it.

Same as the 10-bore. Needs to be used on bovines. But also medium game.

I'd like to use some of the big bores on feral pig culls like in the past. Does anyone still go on feral pig shoots shooting several hundred.

The other fun practice cull option I wish I could crack on is culling roos on permit. Good running/hopping practice. No need to worry about meat damage. As long as animal lib nutter authorities aren't insisting on head shots only.

Rabbits would be great precision practice.
