That really helped. I'm kind of in a catch 22 situation right now. I bought a Blasr LRS2 in 338 Lapua Mag for long range, mostly for paper, but in NZ I can use it for open range shooting goats, deer and thar.

The gun is due next month and I have been waiting for about 6 months because of the special order. I love the look of the LRS2 but its not a hunting rifle.

OK, here's where the catch 22 comes in. My wife 'audited' me and yes, I have gone over board with my budget and its hard for me to justify another 'toy.'

I was craving for Blaser's Offroad-Timber where I can use 375H&H and have another barrel in 300WSM. But because of the hole in my pocket, I only have a nice 338 LapuaMag to play with.

I have no experience in hunting big game and was hoping to get an advice before going to Queensland for buffs. I dont wanna look out of place with the LRS2.

Questions:

1) Do you think I can use the LRS2 in Queensland for buff?
2) What the difference between 375H&H and 375H&H Magnum?
