I don't think Rem make the BDL in 375 unless you are talking about an older rifle they use to call the Safari that was like a BDL Varmint rifle but with long action and open sights.

What is fairly common with them is that if you pull the bolt back very quickly with a live round (or a round that did not fire) it will often fail to eject and be left sitting on the follower. The problem is that Remington don't alter the rear receiver ring like Winchester does and when you pull the bolt back very quick on a live round the bolt is well inside the rear receiver ring and the case hits it and so falls back onto the follower. In other long calibres like 7mm STW the problem does not show up because the bullet is much lighter and the spring loaded ejector gets the round out quicker.

After bedding they are usually better and more cosnsistent shooters than the blued/walnut M70s because they do not have the problem Winchester creates by the way they put a second barrel lug under the open sight. However, this does not apply to the M70 Stainless.

Scope mounts are easy as every mount is made for the Rem 700 and scope mounts are also easy to bring into Australia.

Unless you want detachable mounts Leupold Dual Dove Tails are what I would get. The Leupold QR mounts also work very well.

The Rem 700 is not a rifle that is well liked for 375 and I am sure other forum members will elaborate on the reasons for you.

If the rifle you are referring to is the older Stainless or thenew XCR then be warned that recoil will be quite jolting as they are quite light.
