I'm one happy camper. Had the day off today and went browsing around some small town gunshops in Southern Indiana today. I found, what for me at least, is one of my Holy Grail items. A Browning Safari grade in .458WM. Date is 1974 and rifle is mint - from bolt face, barrel and chamber - I don't think its ever been fired. The best part, I picked it up for six hundred and change. Owner said "its been here forever, no one wants that big caliber around here. Would you be interested, sonny"? Just about the first thing I said was "SOLD"!

Anyway, thanks for letting me share. My new rifle can now join his Browning Safari brothers in 30-06 and .375 H&H already in the safe. Until this weekend that is....boom, boom.
