I stumbled on to this thread again and have added a little to it from the .405 WCF perspective.

The Hornady 300 grain .411 bullet can easily be loaded up a couple hundred FPS above factory speed of 2250 fps. Hardly needed if using premium bullets like North Fork .

The 400 grain Woodleigh velocity has been loaded to 2157 fps and maybe higher by now; awaiting report.

Both of the above updates dome with VV N133 powder and Federal 215 Magnum Match primers.

MY Winchester 1895 .405 wcf has just been MAGNAPORTED for use this fall on exotics in Texas.
