About bloody time I have found people with similar perversions to mine. I often hunt pigs ,dingos and other non dangerous game with my 458 Lott. Occaisionaly I will take out my little 300 WBY pop gun but prefer walking around with my big guns. I had a run in with an old timer a few days ago at a gunshop. He noted that I was selling my 458 Win and he said how bloody useless they were ,no one can possibly handle them. When I said I was selling it because I mainly use my 458Lott. He gave me a long mouth full about using big guns to make up for poor shooting. The gunshop owner backed me up when he said what groups my big guns give and that I seem to shoot better off hand with my big guns.
It is nice and comforting going hunting with the big guns. Plinking by shooting at ant hills (termite mounds) gives much better results when using 500gn solids than the next persons 243.
