Time for confessions. How many of us with big bores use them for something other than the "big nasties". I didn't want to highjack the other thread so I started this one. I like to use my .375 on varmints for a couple of reasons. It gets me used to the rifle and it is great target practise. Also I flat like shooting varmints. Yes, it makes a prairie dog look like a hairy donut when you can find the carcass. I find after shooting prairie dogs with my big game rifles & loads it is usually a one shot kill on deer & elk.
