Reloading and Shooting Heavier than Normal Projectiles

I'd like to hear people's experiences, good or bad on reloading and using heavier than usual projectiles than usual in a calibre.

I put this in Big Bores, but could be a medium bore. And not in reloading, because while reloading comments are very welcome, it is more about reloading AND usage of these projectiles.

What am I talking about?

Calibres and projectiles such as:
.30 - 250 gr projectiles perhaps RN-SP or RN-FMJ;
8mm - 250 gr, the same;
.338 - 300 gr similar;
9.3 mm - 320 gr;
.375 - 350 gr;
.416 - 450 gr;
.404 (423) - 450 gr.

What reloads did you use?

Any issues, such as lack of velocity, barrel twist not sufficient to stabilise?

What bullet was it? Who is the maker?

What have you used them on, or plan to use them on? Why the heavier bullet than usual?

We can thank Geoff MacDonald of Woodleigh for most of these heavier than usual projectiles, often made in both SP and FMJ style. Having both RNSP and FMJs RN is good, but not always made.
