Well, I'm about to keep my promise.

Just received my .600 Nitro Express PISTOL . The barrel was made by Dave Van Horne, on a T-C Encore Stainless frame, Weaver Recoil Proof scope, Horneber brass, Woodleigh 900 gr jacketed bullets, Beartooth 1040gr lead bullets, Hodgdon 4831 powder, Mag Rifle Primers.

The pistol weighs about 7 pounds.

I will be meeting up with a co-worker who is a member of an outdoor shooting club, on the range sometime before next week. I will test the reduced loads first, to get a reality check on the recoil. Then, if I'm still able, will fire the full house loads (both the 900gr/160gr H4831 and the 1040gr/117gr reduced load).

Since I don't have my own web page, if you or someone on this forum will show me how to post the still images, and video clip on this site, I will do so.

Chances are, I will only have one "shot" at this (no pun intended). I have 3 co-workers willing to try the full house loads, but maybe NOT after they see the results of MY shooting it.
