Believe all that is very much related to stock design along with weight and fit of firearm..
Had a .470 that kicked like a mule.. got another and its like shooting a 375H&H, piece of cake..
Have a very good friend who is a Weatherby dealer/collector.. shot one of his .460 Weatherby's numerous times, didn't find that horrible in any way.. so....
