I believe Jack Lott did something similar with the .425 WR, but using .404 basic brass!
I remember the Jack Lott writings on just that experiment with the .425 WR.
The musings about the .500 Jeffery are actually just that because interestingly enough the available .500 AHR brass here in the USA is significantly less expensive than .500 Jeffery.
