As to Aimpoint battery life, probably about 8 to 10 years ago (?), Aimpoint changed over to a new ??? electronic system in their red dot sights. This gave the batteries 5,000 hours (?) of battery life.

I have had a couple of their Comp C3 sights on hunting rifles for years now, and I'm yet to replace the original installed battery.
