The Aimpoints a great sight. Stuff all parallax and if the dot is on target you are on target even if the dot does not appear to be central in the scope. Probably have to be the quickest sight going. If you can see the target and know your hold over you can, like open sights of old, shoot at any distance. Use to regularly shoot the 500 mt rams at Little river with the 35Whelan using an early Aimpont.
From what I see, read and hear, they are practically indestructible...so, perfect fit for a .416...have a 1.75-6 VX-3 on one of mine..the others have a Zeiss and older model Swaro..this might be a better choice for the thick stuff...
