I'm taking a 375 H&H and a 30-06 this year. Both have worked well for me in the past. The only reason that I'm taking both is that the 375 H&H is a double. If you have a double you can't go to Africa and leave it behind. Being a double, I'm not sure how it would do on long shots, I don't know how much the bullit will move on a horizontal plane. I'm comfortable adjusting for drop but I don't know how much to adjust for drift. Consequentally I will probably use the 30-06 for longer shots.
