THe 9.3 x 62 is min. in Zim, but in all other countries I know of, 375 H&H us the min. The fact that some .35's have more energy really does not matter because energy is not what kills large animals. They are killed by a bullet of sufficient diameter penetrating the vitals. The old British rule of thumb was .40 cal or bigger, .300 sectional density, and 2000 fps. But if you ask most PH's what you should bring, most will suggest a .375 HH because not that many people can shoot the bigger bores well. |
