according to Mike Eaglesmith of CZ USA he told me that you should bed it and not worry, as the stocks are better now than the original versions--but I bought a crossbolt jig and crossbolts and will someday attack my new CZ 416 rigby by bedding it and crossbolting it if I keep it in a wood stock(I have another CZ 416 rigby in a fiberglass stock that I bought used and then found out the stock was cracked or cracking in a couple of places--I repaired it, but only time will tell if it will hold up--that's why I'm not in a hurry on the new one)---chris
