Another 1895 .405 trophy taken with 400 grain Woodies at 2068 fps with +or- 1 fps deviation using a compressed load of 54 grains of TAC. In my 1895, strain gauge pressure was just under 50,000 PSI. Sorry the link to the story did not work, so I dug up a picture: The bullet entered just behind the rearmost left rib, passed through innards, heart, and out between the front legs; range twenty yards thanks to the DG PH and trackers. |
