Agree wholeheartedly - but - if hunting in inclement weather- ie: BC or worse, Alaska, one might well put up with stainless steel and Tupperware stocks - or work feverishly on your rifle every day with Rig or something similar.






Very true Daryl. Function should be above all else.

I must admit I do feel a bit apprehensive using a nicely finished gun on a rainy day, especially one that has been around for a few decades or more and has remained in tip top condition. But then I remind myself that guns are made to be used and that even the those of the highest quality are designed with function foremost in mind. So, I use them and take care of them and enjoy them.
