This is very interesting because I think the ideal DR cartridge is one that shoots a 400 grain bullet at about 2200 fps, low pressure and rimmed. Why - well it's a bit more powerfull than a .375 but has "acceptable" recoil. We all know that with todays bullets that a 400 grain will kill as well as a 500 grainer. And in my humble opinion, it's bullet weight that contributes most to recoil. That being said, the ideal cartridge in my opinion is the 450/400 3"
