Re: 416 rigby mauser

I think there is some kind of stigma attached to Ruger that is undeserved. About 12 years ago I saw online in an Australian gunshop a David Mackay Brown rifle in 7x57 on a Ruger 77 action. It was a beautiful, elegant rifle and I gazed at it for weeks, emailed about it, but ultimately didn't buy it, even after the price was reduced several months later. David Mackay Brown and Ruger in a classic cartridge just didn't go together well in my mind the way I was thinking then. Now of course I wish I had bought it. I think the price was about 4K USD. It may be the only DMB rifle ever built on a Ruger action and one of the few bolt rifles ever built by that firm. Some of you may have seen it. I've forgotten the name of the gunshop....maybe McAuliffe?
