I wouldn't worry about the Brno as it seemed to better bedded than some the new CZ's. I had a chance to get several of them way back when Jeff Cooper was waxing eloquently about them and have regretted not getting them then. The Brno's are solidly made rifles and depending on which regime was in power, quality of finish was only so-so. The CZ's seem to be put together in a hurried fashion just to get them on the dealers' shelves. Now that CZ realizes that quality is something everybody wants, the new line of rifles would probably hold up. Look at what they're offering as to the tweaks that have been done to their slightly older rifles in the past couple of years. I saw a brand new one a while ago which didn't even resemble the earlier ones as to fit and finish.
