I have never hunted dangerous game but the old soldier in me was looking with a critical eye. Hopefully, you will not be offended by this suggestion. When practicing with repeaters you should get in the habit of reloading after your two shots instead of stopping with an empty in the chamber.
That's a really good point..to reload immediately that is..
As to the 2 shots being a limiting factor, in my travels to Africa and hunting any of the big 5 or 7 or whatever number is the one today..frankly, as Nitro suggested, you won't get off more than 2 shots period..you are in too close and in thick bush..May be a different story possibly in some other areas but that has been my experience. Can see the point, but ...
