I find the new magazine latch to be a wonderful improvement in ensuring the mag stays where it's supposed to. It might slow magazine swaps, but I dont swap mags when I'm hunting like I might on an IPSC course. Having said that, I never found the model 75 magazines or latches to be lacking in any way.
