I believe you hunt with the rifle you are the most comfortable with. I hunt with a Sako 375 that is scoped with a 1.75 - 5 X25 scope. I set the magnification most of the time to 1.75, gives a wider field of view. I use my Sako for all my personal hunting as well and have one hell of a job keeping my daughter away from it, she loves it. Both my children hunt with my scoped custom built 308 Win Mag. If a client is using my 375 I carry the 308.

. However I did decide to build another rifle and after long discussions with my friend Pierre van der Walt I decided on a 416 Remington with open sights. This rifle will be for DG hunts, but it will have to prove itself as I got a lot of trust in my 375. To me -
