Great day at the range. The percussion Sharps are fun to shoot. I used to shoot a bare slug and loose powder in the one I had, an Italian version, civilian sporting 1/2 stock model - 120gr. 2F, and a 450gr. FN bullet, that I tapered in a 6.5x68 seater die. That made it fit the chamber perfectly, but of course really increased the powder capacity. They are fun to shoot - and accurate too. Shot a nice little muley buck with that rifle one fall - bullet went lengthwise then exited, of course. They aren't just plinkers - fun to hunt as well. |
