Eric, when I write "tougher" I just want to say that these actions are homogeneously harder than the original Oberndorf Magnum MAUSER. In fact BREVEX are very close to the last BYF44, having received a heat treatment deeper and less differentiated. Considering the relatively crude surface, finishing work is more challenging but constant external hardness is preserved. Also note that only a slow rust bluing must be used, hot salts baths resulting invariably in inconsistent colors turning dark red. Sorry for my English, I hope to have cleared that point. Best.
