However you couldn't compare an hand made rifle to a production one and indeed, on that Brevex wood has been relieved from behind the action but as the tang is filled with a 60° angle that's not visible from outside.
When, as on this rifle, the magazine is made from one piece of steel we don't need to put a second cross bolt while this is mandatory on a two or three parts magazine with sheet metal box like the CZ 550.
Notice also that the most important thing is how the action front recoil lug is fitted and that the cross bolts aren't decorative fixtures.
The massive magazine box holds five rounds.
