Very nice indeed. I too prefer plainer functional timber over highly figured wood. The wood to metal finish is superb and your colour case hardening work is first rate. My preference would be for a peep sight as well, even when my eyes were younger. Also I would have a second cross bolt fitted, firstly because I like the look of 2 cross bolts and secondly because of the CZ550 stocks that split without it. I would of liked to see ever so slightly more wood relieved from behind the action tang, but that might just be the photo. Is there any reason a second cross bolt was not fitted? How many 416 Rigby rounds down does the magazine hold? The stipling on top of the action to cut glare is very functional and looks great. This is one 416Rigby that screems to be taken to Africa.A job very well done. |
