Here's a suggestion for you: contact Larry at Serengeti Stock Works www.serengetistockworks.com and forward him this thread so he can see the blank. They do beautiful laminated stocks. They don't look like any laminated stock you've seen before. I recently had them do one for me on my 375 Ackley. It's from a AAA Claro blank that I got from their inventory. Take a look at their website, and let me know what you think. It might be usable for your 416 because of their exclusive process.
