The 1999 action (which I have) will hold the (ballistically equivalent) .416 Remington and you can count on it being shipped. The PH will get there when enough folks pay up front for it to finance the tooling.....who knows!!!
Sorry about the pics...I got them and they're way too big to download. I did see them thru the server but they're 1.3 MB and all the photos I take are 30 KB and on the phone lines they are about as fast as molasses in January.
It's simply impractical to upload them to a photohost and then link them back to nitroexpress.

I can say that I would not use the blank for something as heavy recoiling as a .416 anything but it's a beautiful piece of wood and would make a spectacular .243.

The grain in the "wrist" area is perpendicular to the line of recoil force. It might work fine.....but this not what I want to be wondering about while hunting that cape buffalo and after having paid all the cash.
