OK experts, I need your help.

I have a CZ550 that I store (like my other bolt rifles) with the bolt out.

So now trying to put the bolt back in I can't seem to do it. The round pin at the back end of the bolt is pointed downward and is touching the top of the stock. I can snap the bolt in place, but I just can't slide it forward without potentially deeply gouging the stock which is obviously incorrect.

I also can't seem to rotate the back end of the bolt or release it in any way.

Any ideas? I'm obviously doing something wrong. I just don't know what.
