I like the look and the feel/handling of the Caprivi. Tried on in 375H&H. Two things turned me off it though. One was Kimber roulette that I had heard about and at nearly $3000 Aussie back then I wasn't willing to risk having a lemon.

I have not heard much about bad quality from Kimber in the last couple of years. I think you will have a very nice rifle and one that will instill confidence. 458 cal will give you plenty of bullet and brass options and with modern powders and bullets this round should perform well against DG.
