It wouldn't be the first time that Oz has ended up with reject Winny's IMO!

This whole crooked barrel thread thing is really quite strange.
If the firearms companies responsable for these crooked barrel threads have employed some Uncle Harry the home handyman to hand cut these threads with a plumbers pipe threader and the barrel held in a vice, maybe I can understand it.

But to machine a thread onto a barrel and end up with a thread that is not paralell to the barrels axis is really quite hard to do.
Same thing goes for the threads in the receiver.
