and if you read real close again I said that I wanted to shoot the first buffalo with something like a 458 lott and then the second with a 45/70.The last reloading manual that I was looking at gives the 45/70 in a ruger #1 at 2200 f/s. Isn't that pretty close to all the 375 h&h can do with the rhino or woodleigh 350 gr bullets which are 50 gr lighter. So what would be wrong with a 45/70 and a barnes 400 gr solid at 2200 f/s.
