Re: 45-70 Marlin for Cape Buffalo?

In reply to:

Maybe you're the one who does'n't understand!! I thought we were discussing whether or not the round was viable for killing a buff not whether or not it was legal to do so.. If I wanted that discussion I would go to a legal forum, LIGHTEN UP!! Give the new guy a break!!

Well "NEW GUY" a .22 lr pistol will kill a cape Buffalo, but if it isn't legal, then there is no discussion! As far as my not understanding, I understand you,or the person who asked the question, seem to not be willing to accept the answers given to you! That being the case, you go ahead, and do as you please. If you or he didn't want to know, why in hell did you or he ask the question?, and then argue about the answer, an answer it evident you, nor he had the answer to! I noticed SLAMMER deleted his origenal post! Do you suppose it was meant to cause a rift on this site?

I said in my post, "NOBODY IS SAYING IT CAN'T BE DONE, IT HAS, BUT IT IS ILLEGAL "! It is illegal for a reason, that reason is because it doesn't develope enough energy for the bore size to qualify.

Nframe, there is nothing wrong with the rifle, it just needs to be chambered for something more powerful than a 45-70. ONCE AGAIN, IT IS ILLEGAL, AND IS NOT EHOUGH GUN!
