I have a black bear in 9.3x62 with an MPI magnum stock on it. EAW qr rings and a 1.5 x 6 Schmidt & Bender round it out.

Not pretty in a conventional sense but I hunt a lot of mouse from a canoe at it's held up well after 3 trips and 2 little Canadian bulls.

The short bolt through and not being able to double feed it seem to make it a pretty good alternative to a true CRF. It picks up the cartridge after about .5 inch of travel, it does not leave the magazine until the rim slips under the bolt face.

I liked this so much I bought a 7 mm Rem Finnlight and had an MPI stock put on it as well. I also picked up a mannlicher in 260 Rem and a very inexpensive 338 federal grey wolf.
